We deserve to live in a world where Black women, trans and nonbinary folks have the rest, pleasure, and care.
It is a beautiful thing to be a strong Black woman or source of dependable strength for our loved ones. We are also human beings with the need for rest, tenderness, and care in order to thrive.
The Midstreams have curated a cafe dedicated to offering gentle care to Black LGBTQ women and trans/nonbinary people age 50+. Much of our energy is committed to caregiving others, this a protected space for you to be poured into, appreciated, and restored.
It's all about you!
Midstreamers Peer Lead, Glenda has curated an afternoon of Self-care and Community Care provided by a variety of Black LGBTQ healers to be available to you on April 29th from 2-5p at Affinity Community Services. Affinity's executive director, Latonya, will be sharing how you can get up free sessions with a Black LGBTQ therapist of your choice through our Holistic Living Mental Wellness program. There will also be individual energetic, spiritual, and physical healing services including Reiki, Massages, Herbal Medicine and a group Sound Bath and Guided Meditation.
