Ways You Can Help Affinity

Affinity_Birthday_Image.jpg$15 For 15 Campaign
In honor of Affinity's 15th year, we're asking for donations in multiples of 15 (i.e., $15, $45, $150, $3,000). With your permission, we'll list your name on the website as a $15 for 15 Donor. We can accept cash, check, money order, and credit card donations at the office. If preferred, please mail your check or money order to Affinity at 5650 S. Woodlawn Ave., Garden Level, Chicago, IL 60637.

Are your pennies weighing you down or taking up valuable space on your dresser? Let us help you put them to good use. We'll convert your pennies into much needed items like bus cards, food, gift certificates, and training registration fees for scholars and other participants in the Youth Leadership Institute.

Affinity_Coffee_Blend3.jpgWake up and smell the coffee!
We invite you to start your morning with Affinity Community Services' 15th Anniversary Crooked Brew, a delicious blend created by the Bridgeport Coffeehouse. The suggested donation for a 12 oz bag of ground coffee is $15. Call the office at 773-324-0377 for details. The coffee will be on sale at the Barbara Wells' event on February 12th.

Pledges: The Gift that Keeps Giving
Pledges are a great way to increase your gift to Affinity over the year. Pledges are commitments to donate a certain amount of money at specified intervals, usually monthly or quarterly. We have a donor that sends her $10 pledge to Affinity like clockwork each month, which adds up to a $120 donation by the end of the year. You can make pledges by downloading the donation form from the website and mailing the completed form and your first pledge to the office.

In-Kind Gifts
While cash donations are greatly needed to help us cover our basic costs, in-kind gifts help us keep costs under control. In-kind donations include such tangible items as food, paper goods, office supplies, computer equipment, and furniture and services such as accounting, legal, or construction. If you'd like to make an in-kind donation, please call the office.

Volunteer @ Affinity
Labor is often a cost associated with operations and programs. If you are interested in volunteering at Affinity, visit the Volunteer Opportunities page on our website periodically to learn about volunteer openings. We hold volunteer orientations/trainings on the second Tuesday of the month. Check the website calendar, Facebook, or phone Affinity, listen to the recorded calendar, and select option 2.
