Volunteer led programs have been crucial to Affinity’s development as an organization. For many years, there was no paid staff at Affinity so if it were not for volunteers, the organization would not exist. We are especially grateful that volunteers step up to create and run programs that reach particular demographics. These programs are highly tailored and in addition to providing support and programming, create leadership opportunities. We currently have the following volunteer led program groups. Each has its own schedule and contact persons.
Chi T* (aka THE TRANS FOCUS GROUP)
Chi T* , also know as The Transgender Focus Group, is an inclusive support and discussion group for transgender people of color. You must be 18 years old or older to participate. The meetings are open and welcoming to anyone within the trans spectrum. This includes, but is not limited to transgender men and women and people who identify as intersex, two spirited, and/or genderqueer. Wherever you are on your journey of transition (or nontransition), or if you are just questioning, please join us. We welcome you! The Group meets the 3rd Thursday of the month.

AFFINITY TRAIL BLAZERS
The purpose of the Affinity Trail Blazers (formerly known as the Affinity Senior group) is to provide community and information for and among seniors to identify challenges of being in the 60+ age group; to advocate for individuals in this age group; and to provide support for partners whose partners have health issues. The Affinity Trail Blazers meet on the last Saturday of the month.
